To update a single item:

    • Open the product, check the box labeled Leasable with Kafene, and save.

To update multiple items at once:

Once your items have been updated double check your plugin, make sure you have everything configured correct and enable the plugin. Once enabled Kafene should be available at checkout!

Tax Configuration

Orders processed through Kafene are automatically categorized as tax exempt. Resale certificates are available in your Kafene merchant portal.

Order Statuses

Status

What it means

Pending Payment

The customer is completing their Kafene application. If denied, the order stays in this status until a different payment method is chosen.

Processing

Lease agreement is signed and the order is ready to fulfill.

Completed

Items have been received by the customer. The order is now eligible for funding.

Cancellations & Adjustments

Cancellations and adjustments made in WooCommerce do not automatically update the Kafene lease. You must cancel or adjust the lease directly in your Kafene merchant portal.

For leases that are in a Processing or Completed state, contact Kafene support to make adjustments:

Finding Orders in the Kafene Merchant Portal

Once a customer signs their lease agreement, you can look up their order in the Kafene merchant portal:

  • Go to the order in WooCommerce. The Kafene Application ID is displayed beneath the order number.

  • In the Kafene merchant portal, search for the customer using that Application ID.
